About
Mark Monaghan
I used to dread English class - especially spelling - and getting called on to read out loud was my worst fear. As part of my acceptance to UF, I was placed in a special English prep course, where I discovered I’m dyslexic. With the right support, I learned to embrace my unique way of thinking, and now creative writing and public speaking are two of my greatest strengths - dyslexia is now my superpower! I’ve spent over 35 years solving complex business problems by building strong cultures, streamlining operations, and creating award-winning organizational and employee development programs that truly move the needle.
✴️ I started my career in hospitality, eventually becoming a Managing Partner at Outback Steakhouse, where I learned firsthand how to lead people and drive performance from the ground up.
✴️ I transitioned into corporate leadership at JK Harris, serving as EVP of Talent Acquisition & Call Center Operations, where I helped scale a national organization through major growth.
At iQor, I led operations for DirecTV before launching and growing our global learning, coaching, and development strategy.
✴️ I created career pathing frameworks, mentoring initiatives, and leadership development programs that changed how we grow talent, and the results speak for themselves.

None of these accomplishments, certifications, or recognitions mean a thing if I don't deliver. Once you stop contributing, you become irrelevant, and that's not good.
Based in Charleston, SC, I stay grounded through my community work, whether serving on nonprofit boards, mentoring within my church’s Fatherhood Ministry, or cooking the best chili in Chucktown. I also enjoy watching sci-fi with my kids. I lead with heart, and I build programs that turn potential into performance.
